Log Cabin 12 - Cozy Hideway in Rural Mid Wales

Great location, quaint log cabins, overall a good place to stay! Positive: It is a quaint log cabin in a great location for Snowdonia and Portmerion (places we visited). Breath taking views and country walks in location. Kitchen ok to cook in and comfortable lounge area. Great to park beside the cabin. Negative: Seemed clean - lovely clean towels and bathroom and kitchen area. Overall property needed a deeper clean. Retrieved one of our socks from under the bed and it was clear it had not been cleaned there for a long time. In fact someone else's sock was also under the bed. Mattress old and not comfortable.

If the money I paid for two nights here was used to maintain the place, it could be just fine Positive: Location Negative: The kids mattresses were awful - hard metal springs with the thinnest layer of cotton covering them. We had to use all the towels to make the bed comfortable enough to sleep in. Lots of small things broken (scissors in the kitchen, light bulbs not working x 2), written threats of fines if cabin not cleaned reasonably after our stay, but only a drop of washing up liquid left for us to use)

Excellent location and fabulous mountain view; the cottage scores overall 9 out of 10 Positive: Location and the mountain view are the best. Negative: Expired food was found in the fridge, and a specific smell persisted for a day despite keeping all the windows open. Also, the windows on the entrance side of the cabin were not open for a month as suggested by the amount of dust present.
